Tapered alpine climbing trousers constructed from durable stretch fabric and well suited for technical pursuits including mountaineering, trekking and general outdoor utility.
The Strike Pants are constructed from dryskin fabric from Swiss textile experts Schoeller. We’ve chosen dryskin specifically as it supports physical performance capacity during active pursuits. It is a breathable, wind and water repellent fabric with good elasticity without compromising on durability. This makes the pants highly functional with a good range of movement that will also dry quickly making them well suited to cold or wet environments and multi-day expeditions.
This dryksin fabric is treated with ecorepel technology, an innovative durable water repellent that is environmentally sound, fluorocarbon free and biodegradable. Due to the effect of ecorepel on fabric surface tension, water and mud will simply run off without compromising the permanent finish of the treatment. This means that regular reproofing should not be required with heavy duty use and frequent washing.
Storage capacity comes in the form of two streamlined cargo style pockets, designed so as not to interfere with a climbing harness. Two hand pockets and two rear pockets also feature with all pocket openings secured via magnets rather than conventional hook and loop. This has been done to ensure minimal fuss accessibility to pockets and with minimal noise. For added security, zip pockets have also been provided on the hips for stowage of more sensitive expedition essentials.
The legs of the pants follow a more tapered design than our Charge Trousers and culminate in an elasticated cuff with zipped adjusters, the zip adjusters also being magnetised for improved fastening. A composite blend of Dyneema and Cordura abrasion resistant fabrics have been included on the lower leg to mitigate the effects of wear and tear from technical terrain.
